Not everyone has an extra special Aunt like the Murphy Family. Ask any of the grandkids and great grandkids and they will tell you all about a very special Aunt Shirley who just gives, and gives, and gives without expecting anything in return. Well....what a nice surprise for Ashley when she received from her Great Aunt Shirley in the mail yesterday a hand knit quilt for her new room when our house is ready.
Best of all it was in her favorite colors ...green and purple. Of course I couldn't resist the photo opportunity.....
This last photo was taken in October 2008 when myself, Mom (Nanny M) and Ashley travelled to Newfoundland for Great Nanny Murphy's 90th birthday part. You can see how much Great Aunt Shirley adores Ashley.We love you Aunt Shirley...you are the bestest!
